hello, my name is DJ. i am TWENTY ONE years young and i consider myself a(n) ADVANCED roleplayer. i found this site through TISE. so, here's an example of my average post:
walking out onto the court after half time, trist welcomed the mix of boos and cheers of the surrounding viewers. at least usc wasn't too far from ucla. otherwise, trist would be walking into a stadium full of people that hated him. wouldn't have been the first time though. tristan took a deep breath and glanced up at the scoreboard quickly. they were down five going into the second half. that wasn't bad considering everything that had happened so far in the game, mainly jace being ejected for fighting one of the usc players. jd just wasn't mentally stable these days and trist completely understood that, but wished there was something he could do to help his best friend. even without him on the court though, the captain has the utmost confidence in himself and his teammates. tristan was going to put every once of effort he had into winning this game. and of course he needed help from his point guard jai.
through out the first half, the rivalry of the two teams was noticed. there was an incredible amount of tension in the game and the second half wasn't going to be any different. hard fouls were happening from both sides and the trash talking got worse with time. it was definitely going to be a battle.
once the game was started, the shooting guard blocked out all of his surroundings. he couldn't afford to be distracted by the crowd. since they lost the tip off at the beginning of the game, the bruins started off with the ball here. trist made his way down the court, before sprinting past screens to get himself an open look and sinking a three. "all day man, all day." he muttered to the guy attempting to guard him as he ran back to defend. that was what the team needed, start off the half with energy and confidence. before long, the bruins had the lead and all was going good for ucla. in tristan's mind the game was theirs to lose now, even though it was a minimal lead. however, he felt they had the momentum, and when thats combined with the talent of their team, they couldn't lose. of course trist was as biased as they come though. however, that wasn't going to affect trist's style of play one bit.
with only a few minutes left in the game, ucla had a two point lead with possession of the ball. it was coming down to the wire and that was when he's at his best, when the pressure is on. a pass was thrown toward trist, and he began dribbling. looking at the set up of defense, the twenty-two year old set his mind, and began to drive to the basket. flying by the defender, he went up for a lay-up when a usc player went to foul him at the same time. it was a hard foul and as trist was coming down the force pushing him to the ground caused by the defender created an awkward landing. tristan felt it right away as his right knee bent in and he immediately fell to the ground. there was an incredible pain coming from his knee.
the star basketball player knew right away what was happening. there was a tear of at least one of the ligaments in his knee. in high school tristan had a sprain in the same area and he could definitely tell the difference. trist was writhing in pain, both of his hands on his leg, and wincing uncontrollably. he knew right then that it was over for him. the game. the season. possibly his entire career. all over. the very thought of it was overwhelmed him. the physical pain was almost nothing compared to the mental distress going on in his mind. the blues filled with water. there wasn't anything he could do about it. the thought of letting down his, his dreams being crushed, and were just too much for him. it wasn't exactly crying, there weren't tears streaming down his face, but it was evident how all of this was affecting him.
